I am dedicating this page to my friend Claude B. Tenot, because I admire his work so much.
All images on this page have been created by Claude, except where stated otherwise.
The following comment is from Claude B. Tenot:
"Cher Wimpie,
A bientôt,

Creating remarkable Portraits of Beautiful Women, have been a challenge for many photographers and artists!...since FOREVER!
But I know a photographer from Lausanne, Switzerland, who is a Master in doing exactly that!
His name is Claude B. Tenot, and he has a special talent to make wonderful portraits of beautiful women.
He is a gifted artist in the true sense of the word, and has a rather unusual ability:
He knows how to capture the true beauty, and essence of a Woman ...photographically...
Yes...He knows exactly how to ceate powerful, sensual and soulful Portraits of Beautiful Women!
I have seen many, MANY artworks, images, and photographs of Women...
made by Famous Photographers and Great Painters...
But few can portray the Romantic Sensuality of a Woman, the way Claude does.
Claude often uses a Hasselblad Flexbody to create many of his amazing photographic Works of Art,
(...and that is also his favorite camera, he told me...)
The Hasselblad creates images at resolutions of 140 pixels per inch, and higher.
That is too large for this page, and I have resized (with his permission) all images on this page, to a resolution of 72 pixels per inch,in order to keep the file-sizes within my required limits.(I used Photoshop CS2 to do this)
(That means that all the images you see on this page, are low resolution examples, of his wonderful work!)
When doing Digital Photography, Claude uses a CANON 5D, combined with his favorite lense, a CANON USM 24-70mm, f2.8. His imaging software is Adobe Photoshop.
Francesca Woodman and Peter Lindberg are two of Claude's favorite artists.
(More about the tragic story of Francesca Woodman later...)
The images below, of Peter Lindberg(left) and Francesca Woodman(right)
are my own personal favorites of these two famous photographers.
The photographer, Kerry Singh, wrote the following about Claude B. Tenot:
"Quite simply an artist in every sense of the word.
A master of the camera, and of light, his work is magical and dark, intense and sweet.
This guy captures the in-between, the twi-light world.
But above and beyond is the raw, staggering beauty of the images.
Powerful, wonderful, soulful and true. Perfect portraits perfectly captured.
Oh to have such a talent as this!!
Thank you so much for sharing with us...you ARE the master"
Another photographer, Dina Marie, writes:
"How do you write about such a wonderful photographer in one paragraph? I could talk forever!
Claude is one of the finest photographers I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, and his portraits of beautiful women, are indeed special.
His work moves and inspires me. It is rich, romantic and his style is unique and unmatched.
It is very evident that he loves what he is doing.
His work is pure art, and I would be very proud to have one of his photographs hanging on my wall.
If you have not taken the time to go through his portfolio, you are missing out.
His gift for lighting and composition is amazing.
Thank you Claude, for sharing your work with us. I will always be a fan :-)"
Great Photographers ( and Artists) do not automatically...or always ...become Famous Photographers ( or Artists)!
(Artists and photographers become famous for many different reasons...society after all has a lot to do with this...)
But they have something in common: "They do things differently"
They are free-spirited, creative, and do not pay much attention to convention...
The result of this is that they stand out from the crowd...they attract attention...and become noticed...
Claude B. Tenot is such a photographer, and a Master in the art of creating exceptional Portraits of Beautiful Women.
His work is different, and very creative...he stands out...it inspires me!
Portraits of beautiful women by Claude Tennot, are as good as it gets, in my humble opinion...
