The world of Female Photography is Diverse, Competitive, Fascinating and HUGE...
On this page there are 8 images: (different models, different photographers, different styles) And all 8 these images are exceptional creative works of art... for a number of reasons:
-The Focus of Attention is on the subject (the Woman)...and nothing else.
-The Lighting is wonderful...irrespective of whether natural light or studio lights were used.
-Each picture creates a powerful Mood, and tells a story about a beautiful woman...it is soulful and dramatic.
-There is nothing in the Background that is not supposed to be there...and the setting adds to the overall impact of the image.
-The photographer released the camera's shutter at precisely the Right Moment.
-Each model's Pose and Expression is uniquely different, and therefore striking and captivating.
-Skilled Make-Up and wardrobe artists were used to prepare the models for each shot.
-The desired effect for each of these images were Planned in advance.
The fantastic Work of Art at the top of this page, is by Gary Isaacs... In my opinion one of the best portrait photographers in the world today.
The strikingly powerful and passionate image of Marilyn Monroe (above) is my favorite image of the ultimate Pin Up Girl, and it is also in a strange way, one of the sexiest pictures of a woman that I have ever seen...

From the number of statements that were made at the top of this page, it should be clear that one does not simply pick up a camera, point it at a woman, and create a masterpiece.
No sir...creating impressive images in the competitive world of female photography, is not that easy.
It takes quite a few technical skills, considerable time, lots of experience, great effort, lots of preparation, beautiful and talented models, and good equipment (let's face it...a Ferrari gets you there faster than a Truck...and the same holds true when it comes to photographic equipment)
And last but not least, any pro will tell you that it takes a lot of wasted shots, to make that one outstanding image of a beautiful woman.
The beautiful, seductive, curvaceous and very sexy image above, of Angelina Jolie, is a good example of a typical pose, technique and setting often used by model-photographers.
Contrasting the smooth and seductive beauty of a model with the harsh roughness of her environment, is a very effective way to create Impact, Mood and Drama.
Creating beautiful and captivating images of lovely women, has been (for a long time) one of the big challenges for many photographers, (and other artists...)and it will probably be like that for a long time still to come...
Just think about the expansive industries of Fashion photography, Photography of Pin-Up Girls...Erotic and Nude photography, Glamor Photography, Photography of Female Celebrities, Portrait Photography, Bridal Photography etc. and it quickly becomes crystal clear and very apparent how big this industry of female photography really is...
It's a money-spinner "par excellence", which serves and supports a huge and diversified publications and entertainment industry on many different fronts.
Women + Cameras + Lenses = One hell of a Big Business!
The alluring and seductive but yet innocent portrait of a lovely young woman, above, is the work of young Russian Photographer Pavel Krukov...As good as it gets...I would say
Thousands of photographers all over the world are creating hundreds of thousands of photographic images of women, for many different reasons, every hour of every day...Ninety percent of all these images end up nowhere, because they are just not good enough.
A very small number of good images will be published in some of the thousands of magazines and other publications which are being produced daily. Many images are destined for the thousands of websites on the internet...For some reason mankind's need for beautiful pictures of beautiful women will never be satisfied.
Painters, photographers, and other artists will forever try to create that perfect image of the perfect woman...and female photography will for a very long time still be an art-form pursued by many.
I think that the dramatic, passionate, soulful and powerful mood which has been created by the photographer Haleh Bryan and his model, in the image above, is just awesome. To me it is a perfect example of quality female photography
Creating Portraits of Beautiful Women, is a passion, and a full-time occupation for many photographers, and there are today many exceptional photographers who make a living out of this. (with the emphasize on 'exceptional')
Just think about it...(Is there any 'cooler" job than making beautiful pictures of Natural Beautiful Women on a daily basis. On first consideration one might think...no...there can't be, but believe me, making good money consistently in the competitive world of female photography is very difficult (and very frustrating...to say the least)
No matter what others say or try to make you believe, the following statement is true: Only very talented, very hard working individuals, with very high levels of technical abilities, combined with special business- and people skills, will ever make it big in the industry of female photography.
The colorful, wild and wonderful image of a stunning young woman, above, has been created by Romanian photographer Mircea Bezergheanu. I have seen the work of thousands of photographers and in my humble opinion... Mircea is one of the best photographers around...
Fashion Photography is one of the most important and lucrative specialist fields in the world of female photography, and one of the most Famous Fashion Photographers, and one of my favorites, is the girl who has been a supermodel herself: Ellen von Unwerth.
EVU has probably photographed all the supermodels in the world, and has a client list that never ends. A truly remarkable photographer, artist and business-woman...You can read more about her, and see some more of her amazing work later on my-pin-up-girl.com.
The fashion image below of two famous Super Models, has been made by the talented, experienced and world-renown queen of fashion photography Ellen von Unwerth.
Another of the great and famous women photographers, and one that I also admire endlessly, is Bettina Rheims. She has not created nearly as much work as Ellen von Unwerth, but she has an equally unique style...often very erotic... There will also be more on Bettina Rheims later.
The expressive image below has been created by Bettina Rheims. Bettina's photographic style is immediately recognizable, and most of the time much more Sexy, Erotic and well...Fearless...than the one below.
