The images of vintage pin up girls that feature on this page, are some of my personal favorites, by Gil Elvgren. Many of these images (most of them are oil paintings, in real life!) have influenced, and inspired my own work in some way, or another
Gilette Elvgren (Gil Elvgren) lived in the years March 15, 1914 in to February 29, 1980, and is generally considered to be the greatest pin-up artist ever...and I agree!
I love his work, because it is so unique, honest, humerous, and of course...always...Innocent, but Very Sexy! (And no-one could create images of vintage pin up girls, the way he did!)
The gorgeous redhead (above) shows a lot more than 'only spilled tomato-sauce', to her viewer!...isn't that just wonderful!?...Hmmm...chips, a boiled egg, and a red apple...sounds good to me! (check out the approaching bee...)
The mood Elvgren could create will always astound me...something which I have often tried to recreate photographically...but...thus far without success! Painters like Gil Elvgren could (...and can...) do things with their brushes and paints, that are almost impossible to emulate photographically.
One thing's for sure: Gil Elvgren will always be my favorite vintage pin up artist!

More often than not, Elvgren would paint his perfectly healthy, young, and "convincing" vintage pin up girls, in the "Great Outdoors".
This in itself has a lot to do with the magical appeal these works of art have for me personally (...we all love to be outdoors...right?)
How about a beautiful "Cow-Girl" serving an "Outdoors-Dinner at Sunset"!?

My-pin-up-girl.com is dedicated to Beautiful images of Beautiful Women...ALL KINDS!!...(vintage pin up girls included)and this art-form, generally referred to as "Vintage Pin-Ups", is very special to this site, for a number of reasons:
One of those reasons is, that my own work has been influenced in many ways, by the amazing paintings of Luis Royo, and also (to a lesser extent) by the work of Gil Elvgren. (And yes...I know the approach of these two great artists, differs like night from day...)
However...as my-pin-up-girl.com grows, and develops, inspirational new images of beautiful women, will be added.
Works of art, by artists, from different backgrounds (...painters, photographers, illustrators, and others...) and from different times in history, will be featured.

The image below, called "QuickChangeArtist", by Elvgren, is one of my all-time favorite vintage pin up girls, and typical of the wonderful mood that this artist could create in his work.
The expression on the girl's face, is absolutely real and convincing...(check out the nail in the tyre!)...and as always...the retro lingerie...just AWESOME!
